Transmitting a disease to yourself or your clients can be a devastating event. Not only can you cause harm to yourself or your client, as a professional you are expected to be an expert at workspace hygiene.

With the right education, you can help protect your workplace from the risks of infection.  

Created by the Cosmetology Association Western Canada, BeautySafe is Canada’s only certification in protocols of infection control, safe cleaning, sterilization, and chemical practices for beauty professionals.

BeautySafe incorporates health standards recognized across Canada helping you reduce the spread of bacterial infections and communicable diseases like COVID-19, HIV, and Hepatitis B and C

The General Trades Level 1 course can be completed in under 2 hours and you will receive your digital certificate right away. Each Level 2 course takes about 45 minutes to an hour to complete.

Important notes about signing up

Registration: BeautySafe courses you see here are built on a new system that is separate from the main BeautyCouncil site. Create a new account when you sign up.

Address: Please enter your address carefully and completely to receive your mailed certificate. We can only mail you your decal and paperwork with a complete, correct address.

Coupons: If you have a coupon, take a moment to locate where to enter it during sign-up. It can be hard to see on a mobile device. If you miss it, we can arrange a refund.

Larger groups: If you are four or more people and want to buy all at once with a single invoice, we can help and you can save money. Simply send an email to Sabrina at [email protected]

Financial assistance: We understand this is a tough time for everyone. If you are suffering financial hardship, you may be eligible to defer the payment of BeautySafe.
